So happy to have created another dome with the Morpho Portis — truly our favourite of the Morpho butterflies. It’s one of the smaller species within the family, but the depth of colour on this particular kind is quite extraordinary.

Here it’s combined with softer green tones, which really draw out its iridescence. Depending on the light it catches throughout the day, the Morpho shifts from a very soft blue to an intense bright turquoise, changing the entire feel of the piece along with it.

It’s exactly this ever-changing quality that makes the Morpho portis such a special specimen to work with.
